Lee Manuel braces up for Nigerian opponent 8/26/2005
Ghanaian heavyweight Lee Manuel will face off with Nigeria’s Adewale Abe for the vacant African Boxing Union title bout at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex at Kaneshie on Friday.

This bout is the first in Ghana for Lee Manuel who has fought all his career bouts in Europe.

IFCO Boxing Promotions, promoters of the fight, introduced the two boxers to the media in Accra today ahead of the showdown.

The bout dubbed "Explosion Night" will afford Manuel the opportunity to demonstrate his talent before the home crowd.

In other fights for the night, former National and West African Super Featherweight champion, Smith Odoom faces Abdulai Amidu in his first come back bout after three years ago.

Also on the bill is Braimah Kamoko, known as "Bukom Banku", ABU Light heavyweight champion will be square off with Sugar Ray Akwei, (White Pepper) former National and West African Light Heavyweight champion in a ten round contest.

In the Lightweight contest
Kpapko Allotey (Bukom Flash) will brace up for Kwame Archer (Man to Man).

Lartei Lartey (Bukom Jah) will slug it out against Isaac Quartey (Chorkor Dynamite) in another ten round bout in a Super Lightweight contest.

Ayitey (Dada) Powers, National Champion will be up against Flash Ibole Issaka, the former national champion in a ten round middleweight contest while Larteikwei Hammond, (Shocker) the national Champion takes on Fire Anthony (Fit) in an eight round welterweight contest.
