Latest On Mzbel''s Case

To help ongoing investigations into Mzbel’s assault case involving some students of KNUST,the Musicians Union of Ghana has acquired copies of a video recording that captures part of the offending act.

The President of MUSIGA,Alhaji Sidiku Buari told Showbiz last Tuesday that copies of the VCD have been forwarded to the IGP and the Registrar of KNUST to help bring the offenders to book.

“The beginning of the video may not be very clear,” Alhaji Sidiku Buari said,“but as it progresses, the faces of some of the students who are believed to have been involved come very clearly.”

MUSIGA has been one of the organisations which have strongly condemned the action of the students who virtually pounced on the lady musician and stripped her naked after she had performed at a show on the university campus on October 1,this year.

Besides condemnation,MUSIGA has also barred its members for taking up performance engagements at KNUST campus.“We are very keen to know how the case will come to,” said Alhaji Sidiku Buari.

“We believe that it is a criminal act for which the culprits will have to face the law. All performers deserve respect like other professionals do,”he said.

Meanwhile Mzbel says that following the event, she now uses personal security during her performances. She told The Mirror last weekend that she has learnt that about four faces had been identified in the video and she hopes to use the evidence in court.
