Prince Tagoe joins Sadat Bukari as leagues top scorers 6/30/2005
Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Prince Tagoe’s brace yesterday against Berekum Arsenals did not only secure the phobians victory and the first spot on the GT premier league standings but also put him at par with Sadat Bukari of Heart of Lions as joint leaders of the scorer’s chart after match day 11 with seven goals apiece.

Hearts of Oak’s most promising hitman, Tagoe would be attempting to maintain his form after catching up with Sadat who is the only player to have scored four goals in a single match in Ghana’s elite division after eleven years.

Tagoe who trailed Sadat by a goal going into yesterdays matches scored Hearts’ two goals in their 2-1 victory over Berekum Arsenals while Sadat failed to find the back of the net when Lions beat visiting Okwawu United 2-0 at Kpando.

The duo are followed by AshantiGold’s Shaibu Yakubu and Eric Gawu of King Faisal with five goals apiece.

After match-day-11, Accra Hearts of Oak assumed pole position on the league standings with 23 points dethroning King Faisal who drop to the second position with 21 points the same as city rivals, Asante Kotoko who are third.

Life down the sixteen club table doesn’t look good for Bofoakwa Tano rooted bottom with 9 points.

Ebusua Dwarfs returned to the premiership showing enough promise after beating Hearts of Oak in Accra on match-day-one of the GT premier league but are now fifteenth with 9 points.

Kade Hotspurs’ victory over Real Sportive yesterday has seen them move up from the bottom of the table to the fourteenth position with 10 points.
