MUSIGA launches ''Time with God'' 9/20/2015

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has launched an annual event dubbed Musicians Time with God.
The event will be a two-day crusade scheduled for October 1 and October 2 at the Winners Chapel, Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
According to the President of the Union, Bice Osei Kuffour, the crusade is to offer a platform for both secular and gospel artistes to join their fans in appreciating the good things the Lord has done for them.
He noted that the idea for the event is to showcase how much musicians love and appreciate God, an action that has the potential of winning souls for the Lord since many fans emulate the actions of their favorite stars who they perceive as role models.
The Director of Gospel Music at MUSIGA, Rev Dr Thomas Yawson said the event is to show that all musicians who appreciate God are one regardless of the genre they play.
In his view, a musician is a musician as long as they utilise their God given talent. He used the occasion to call for unity among musicians of various genres to enable them contribute meaningfully to national development.
Rev Oppong who represented the Head Pastor of the Winners Chapel Bishop George Agyemang applauded the Union’s leadership for such a noble initiative and encouraged all musicians to throw their weight behind the idea.
On his part, a celebrated gospel singer Nii Okai said the Musicians Time with God is a wonderful initiative and called on all musicians to throw their weight behind it.
Present at the launch which took place at the International Press Centre were A.B Crentsil, ex MUSIGA President Diana Hopeson, Rev Gifty Ghansah the Greater Regional Treasurer of the Union, Rev Dr Mary Ghansah and Pastor Duah.
