‘Saturday Night Live-GH’ Is Back 12/16/2012
On Saturday December 22, the entertainment temperature in Accra is expected to rise to hot levels when international events company, Exclusive Vista Entertainment (EVE), in collaboration with other organisations, stage another historic event dubbed ‘Saturday Night Live GH’.
The show, according to the organizers, which is a cocktail of comedy, dance, poetry, fashion and live contemporary musical performances, will be held at the Exotic Garden at Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra on Saturday, December 22.
The ‘Saturday Night Live GH’ promises to be filled with extraordinary live performances featuring some crowd-pulling Ghanaian artistes and occasional special guest appearances by international and continental entertainers.
The ‘Saturday Night Live GH’ show, which was introduced two years ago by Exclusive Vista Entertainment (EVE) to provide a regular platform for artistes in the country to showcase their talents while dishing out sustained entertainment, is back with a bang!
According to the organisers, the show took a break to enable them to make it bigger and better. “And we are happy to say that what we did last year was good enough to attract some high profile sponsors this year. They are Alomo Bitters (Kasapreko), Tigo and Rlg with support from the Golden Tulip, Accra,” Eugene Chinebuah, director at EVE stated in a release to the press.
The organizers hinted that the ‘Saturday Night Live GH’, which will be an eclectic night of fashion, comedy, poetry and live music pre-Christmas party, will be held every quarter (three months).
In line with the event’s objective to promote live band music in the country, the organisers have planned what they described as a thrilling live band musical splash by legendary Gyedu Blay Ambolley, R2Bees, Raquel and Kaakie.
Nigerian comedy stars, MC Akpo Roro and Legend will storm the stage with some rib “threatening” jests. There will also be a runway lit up with a colourful fashion show hosted by French-Ghanaian designer extraordinaire Art Michael.
For those who love rhythm and rhymes, the organisers have invited Motumbo Da Poet to pour out some tongue-twisting and mind-blowing lines.
Mr Chinebuah said ‘Saturday Night Live GH’ is aimed at establishing a landmark event that would give people a good reason to go out at the weekend—once every three months—to entertain themselves.
“It will come with a different experience and excitement as it will be a night of energetic music, splendid set design, lighting, creative stage and exceptional sound quality plus free cocktail drinks. The special VIP treat also comes with free phones,” he added.
‘Saturday Night Live GH’ is also supported by Schweppes Malt, digital innovation and DDP. Media Partners are Joy 99.7 FM, Via SAT 1, E TV, GH One and Multi TV.
