Hundreds Attend Adom TV Comedy Talent Show Audition 10/7/2012

Hundreds of upcoming comedians last week trooped to the Centre for National Culture (CNC) to participate in the Adom TV Sere Kwakwa Comedy Talent Show audition which lasted for over four hours.
The Sere Kwakwa comedy show was a reality show designed to blend up the passion and interest of comedy in Ghana, which over the years has dwindled to a negligible level.
The goal of this show was to identify and promote the numerous underground comedians in the country.
In all, over 250 people took part in the audition, out of which 10 comedians were selected to participate in the eight-week reality show, which would be aired live on Adom TV and Multi TV.
On September 24, Kumasi also witnessed a massive turnout during the audition held for the northern sector.
The Adom TV show, according to organisers, would pit talented comedians against each other to compete for the ultimate prize over a period of eight weeks. It would be a weekly show and eviction shall be based on judges’ score.
The organisers hinted that all the successful contestants, who would be performing with live band music, would undergo series of performances such as stand-up comedy routines, skits, sketches etc.
In all, 20 contestants were selected from the northern and southern sector for the real showdown. The organizers have promised an excitement reality show which had a lot of mouth watering prizes at stake.
The organisers have promised nothing short of endless laughter as all the 20 comedians have hinted on making the show their Christmas present for the thousands of comedy fans who would be watching them.
