Amamkye Dede to host Prez. Mahama, Nana Addo & J.J Rawlings 9/2/2012

Last year Imajin Advertising launched a new yearly concert which is to honor Ghana music’s most prominent and VIP who has been in the industry for a long time and still in it dubbed “Legends and Legacy Ball”.

Last year, Daddy Lumba was the first to be honored on the show. Ghana can say that the show was a total success which could boast of appearances by Former President J.A. Kuffour, J.J. Rawlings and his wife. It was indeed a must-be-there show.

This year at the Erata hotel in Accra, they selected Abrante Amakya Dede for his immense from back in the days till now that he is still in the music circles. The ‘iron boy’ hit maker expressed his appreciation to his fans for supporting him to reach this far.

The highlife maestro disclosed that as his brother Daddy Lumba was able to invite the two formal presidents, he is planning of bringing the flag bearers of the two big political parties NPP and NDC. “President Mahama, Nana Addo, J.J Rawlings, J.A. Kuffour are all legends so they will be there. If not all President Mahama and Nana Addo will be there to show their togetherness to Ghanaians”.

The legend used the opportunity to debunk the story of him being the highest paid musician in Ghana. He said he doesn’t know the amount of money some of the musicians charge. He mentioned names like Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Okyeame Kwame and some rap artiste saying they are all doing well in the industry and he doesn’t think he is the highest paid musician.

The event which is slated for September 15th will have so many musicians like Freddy Meiway from Cote d’Ivoire, Okyeame Kwame, Daasebre Dwamena, Becca, Samini, Eazzy, Kwabena Kwabena, and Steve Bedi, among others.
