Kotoko Tightlipped On New Players 1/1/2012

KUMASI Asante Kotoko have confirmed they will poach more quality players to beef up their squad for the second round of the league; but they are not ready to release the names of the players on their shopping list.

Making the announcement, Listowell Yesu Bukerson, Kotoko’s Communications Director, said the technical team had requested the signing of new players.

At a meeting with Dr. Sarpong, he said, Coach Konadu insisted that Kotoko must buy a few quality players.

He said management had seen wisdom in Coach Konadu’s request and therefore agreed that monies would be allocated for the purchase.

Listowell said Coach Konadu had announced the names of players he wanted in his squad to Dr. Sarpong’s management. In return, he said, management had tasked Mr. Kwame Baah Nuako to immediately start secret talks with the players and their teams.

Listowell said Kotoko would not mention the names of players that they were after for security reasons.

He however assured the teeming Kotoko fans that certainly a few new faces would be spotted in Kotoko’s team when the league bounces back.
