Stephen Appiah Claims AEK Athens Offer 8/28/2011

Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah claims Greek top flight side AEK Athens have made him an offer to land his services. The 30-year-old midfielder has been searching for a new club after ending a one-year spell with Cesena in the Serie A.
The 90 minutes newspaper reports that Appiah is impressed with the terms by AEK and could make a surprise move.
The summer transfer window shuts at the end of the month but the ex-Juventus man is a free agent and can join a club at anytime. Appiah was last month linked with Saudi side Al Ettifaq.
