Asamoah Gyan Suffers Injury 8/14/2011
Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan suffered an ankle injury while playing for English side Sunderland on Saturday. The forward fell awkwardly during the Premier League clash against Liverpool which ended 1-1.

Gyan was helped off the field in the 66th minute and could not return to continue the game.

South Korean striker Ji Dong-won replaced the Ghanaian striker just after the hour to make his Sunderland debut.
The extent of Gyan’s injury is not known but if he is out for long it could affect Sunderland’s season as he is the most experienced striker in the team.
