Kotoko damn FA over choice of referee 10/5/2005
The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have issued a statement calling on the Ghana Football Association and the referee’s appointment committee not to name FIFA referee William Agbovi as match official for any of its matches in the premier league.

Referee Agbovi was in charge last weekend when Kotoko and Hearts of Oak played a 1-1 draw at the Ohene Djan stadium.

The porcupine warriors had before the game requested the match official to be changed because of a perceived bias by referee Agbovi against Kotoko.

Kotoko’s assistant public relations officer, Yamoah Ponkoh told Joy Sports that the FA treated their protest prior to the game with contempt.

He stated that Asante Kotoko would never like to see referee Agbovi being appointed to handle any of their matches.
