Petroleum prices up 25/30 percent 1/3/2011
The National Petroleum Authority has just announced petroleum price increases of between 25 and 30 per cent as a result of rising world crude prices.

The increases take effect from tomorrow, January 4, 2011.

Joy News’ George Wiafe who was present at the conference said the prices of kerosene and premix fuel have however been left unchanged with a promise government will subsidize those products.

The price hikes are attributed to increases in crude oil prices on the world market as well as increases in the Tema Oil Refinery debt recovery levy approved by Parliament.

Details shortly.
