Christians asked to ensure peaceful Christmas 12/26/2008


Afienya, Dec. 25, GNA - Reverend Mrs. Artisia Svanikier, Minister in charge of the Ascension Presbyterian Church in Afienya, called on Christians to ensure joyful and peaceful Christmas. Preaching the sermon to mark the birth of Jesus Christ on Thursday, she cautioned Ghanaians against violent and provocative acts, to ensure peace and stability, and urged Christians to pray ceaselessly for the prosperity of the country. Rev. Mrs Svanikier called on the electorate to be objective and chose the right leader for the country in the presidential runoff on December 28. She asked politicians not to consider their opponents as enemies but to emulate Christ''s meekness towards his opposer. Rev. Mrs Svanikier called on Ghanaians to ensure peace, love and stability for national development. 25 Dec 08
