| Afranie sure of league title |

Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie is holding his head high after yesterday’s 1-1 draw with their archrivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.
Kotoko looked like completing a league double over their rivals but a spectacular volley by midfielder Adjah Tetteh with some twelve minutes to go denied the porcupine warriors that feat.
Kotoko coach, E.K Afranie in a post match interview with Joy Sports said that he was satisfied with the outcome of the game.
“We came here to win but I think the referee denied us a penalty. That wasn’t fair.”
“Our style was to sit back because they had fast running players who could score when the ball was hit behind us but I am happy with the scoreline. We didn’t lose the game, we had a point.” Afranie said.
Ahead of Kotoko’s upcoming games, Afranie is optimistic of his side’s chances of lifting the league title.
“We have some tough matches ahead which we would be ready for but they (Hearts) also have some difficult games to play.
“We are still on top of the league and that means much. We would maintain our position.,” the Kotoko coach told Joy Sports.
After a one-hour delay to the start of the game due to a clash of jerseys, it was striker Nana Arhin Duah who scored his second goal of the season on the stroke of half time to put Kotoko in the lead.
Back from recess, Hearts drew level through Adjah Tetteh.
Kotoko still cling onto the top of the table with 48 points as Hearts follow closely with 47 points.
