Printex presents birthday bash for Becca 10/9/2007
Last Saturday saw the talented Ghanaian singer Becca celebrate her birthday in style at Boomerang nightclub in Accra.

On the guest list were several well-known television and radio personalities, as well as fellow musical stars, and, of course, Beatwaves.

The festivities kicked off at 9.00pm, when party-goers arrived to find the club transformed into a sophisticated VIP style space, swathed in white satin and decorated with clusters of gold balloons to match the party’s ‘White and Gold’ theme.

Early arrivals were treated to an energetic and impressive salsa dance demonstration, which did the trick of getting the party-goers in the mood for the musical treats that were to lie ahead.

The atmosphere was one of excitement and anticipation for Becca’s arrival, not to mention the promised exclusive performances from Becca herself and other special guests.

The birthday girl arrived fashionably late, naturally, dressed in an eye-catching white cat-suit with daring cut away sections and spent most of the night in the VIP area, where the champagne was flowing freely, chatting to TV crews and posing for pictures.

She managed to break away and spend some time enjoying the party atmosphere and thanking guests for their birthday wishes.

Now in the mood to let loose, most revelers tool to the dance floor as the DJ began to spin some classic hiplife and hip-hop tracks, regular guests rubbing shoulders with celebrities and the flashes of cameras illuminating the dazzling display of sparkling gold and white outfits spotted by all.

The celebration was in full swing at around 1:30am, when Radio Gold’s Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) took over the microphone and invited Becca to the stage to cut her enormous birthday cake- a donation from Printex Ghana Limited, who also presented cash gift to the rising star.

Guests and musical stars, such as Ramzy, Kwabena Kwabena, Kwesi P and Mzbel, then joined together in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to the radiant guest of honour before the party moved downstairs to Goodfellas restaurant, where partygoers were able to enjoy an intimate concert from Becca herself.

The singer was in good spirits and treated the select audience to a lively and stylish set, which included an exclusive performance with fellow singing sensation, Kwabena Kwabena of her hit song, ‘You Lied To Me’ that drew a particularly enthusiatic response from the enraptured crowd.

The party was set to continue to the wee hours of Sunday morning with no signs of slowing down, but this humble reporter, feet tired from dancing was forced to retire home to bed, whilst wishing Becca a very happy birthday!

After such a party and with an album released on EKB Records a couple of weeks ago, it looks set to be a very happy year for Becca indeed.
