Shasha Marley rocks Cape Coast 9/6/2007
The Reggae-monk, Shasha Marley, is in the news again but this time around not with controversy rather a performance and launching of his album in Cape Coast.



Even though the show was supposed to start at 7pm, it started late because it clashed with a programme organized by Skyy FM and Skyy TV, which was about one hundred meters from Toppyard, the venue for the programme. The programme got underway at 10pm and ended at 1am.



The curtain raiser for the night was a fashion show by Bash Modeling Institute based in Cape Coast, who displayed spectacular designs.The programme was organized by Eagle FM with support from Coastal TV, Okoto Chop Bar, Computer Distribution System Technology (CDST) and Ahomka FM. Other sponsors were Bash Modeling Institute and Lagoon Ocean View Hotel.



When the reggae –monk mounted the stage, there was spontaneous noise throughout his performance. Shasha was in a full flight; he treated the audience to all the hits on his “Lost and Found” album. Cape Coast stood still when he entertained the audience with his controversial “Maata Family” track, which he sung twice upon a popular request, the “Boom Boom” also followed suite.



Shasha also took the pains to explain the brain behind “Maata Family”. Other up and and coming artistes had the opportunity to show the crowd the stuff they are made of, these artistes included Ndadewa and Tapoli.



The MCs for the programme were Dr. Pounds and Kwame Dziwonu all from Eagle FM.The programmes manager of Eagle FM,Yaw Adjabeng ,expressed his heart felt gratitutde to all the sponsors for their massive support.



In an interview, Shasha Marley, advised the youth to believe in themselves so that they can achieve their goals, especially those who want go into music.
