No Deal For Kuffour at Sunderland 8/27/2007
Sunderland will not sign central defender Sammy Kuffour, but boss Roy Keane is still looking to sign “two or three” players before the transfer window shuts August 31.

The 30-year-old Roma player, had been on trial at the Academy of Light this week but the former Champions League winner with Bayern Munich, has apparently failed to impress the Wearsiders.

Keane said: "We''''ve had him over and had a look at him but he''''s not one that we''''ll be taking any further.

"You''''re always looking to strengthen your squad and we''''ll be looking to bring two or three more in before the transfer deadline but Sami Kuffour won''''t be one of them."
