Obour and embarked on a five-week international tour dubbed “” on July 18, staging their first performance in two cities in Italy and in France two weekends ago.

In a telephone interview with Obour, the two musicians, who collaborated and released an album titled Best of The Lifes Vol. 1 last year, performed in two night clubs namely Malibu Club in Verona and Buffalo Club in Napoli two weeks ago. They also performed in France over the weekend.

Other supporting artistes on board with Obour and A.B. Crentsil are Lord Kenya, Kokoveli, Akwaaba Dancers and Noble Nketiah who is yet to join them.

According to Obour, the tour was meant to promote Ghanaian music to the outside world. It was also supposed to create awareness about the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and re-denomination of the Cedis among Ghanaians living abroad.

“As part of our mission, we are giving out free CDs of Best of The Lifes Vol. 1 as well as brochures on NHIS and the new Ghana Cedis.” said Obour.

The tour, which ends on October 7, will also see the Ghanaian artistes performing in France, Amsterdam, London, Canada and America.

The tour is being sponsored by Onetouch, Kasapreko Alomo Bitters, Ghana Health Insurance Council, Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority, Western Union and Ghana International Airlines.
