Pepsi-Cola presents cheque to raffle winners
Accra, Sept. 29, GNA - Pepsi-Cola Ghana Limited on Wednesday presented a cheque for 90 million cedis to nine winners of its Stars hunt raffle.

The wanted "Stars" are Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah, Henry Thiery, Becham David and Ronaldinho. The lucky winner could find any of them in the crown-cork of any of its three soft beverages to win 10 million cedis.

Speaking at the presentation in Accra, Mr. Charles Boakye Nimako, Managing Director of Beverage Investments Ghana Limited, producers of Pepsi-Cola, described the promotion as the most successful ever to be held by the company.

Mr. Nimako said the company was planning to run the promotion, which started in early August, for a minimum of 12 weeks in order to disburse one billion cedis, which had been placed at its disposal for the promotion.

The Managing Director contended that the promotion was Pepsi-Cola''s quota in helping to improve the living conditions of the winners. Receiving her cheque, a ten-year-old pupil from the Abundance Grace Academy, Miss Jade Ansah Owusu, said she was going to use part of the money to buy books for her school library, and share the rest of it between the Osu Children''s Home and her family. The cheques were presented by some Africa Beauty Queens, including Ms Inna Patty from Ghana; Ms Omowunmi Akinifesi from Nigeria; Ms Snoti Forh from Liberia and Ms Grace Badakou from Togo. 29 Sept. 05Source: GNA
