Ghana slip 18 places 7/24/2007
Ghana have dropped a massive 18 places in Fifa''s world rankings for July.

A fifty percent devaluation of points accrued from the World Cup in 2006 is the main reason behind the Black Stars'' fall from 19th to 37th in the world.

It means they now slip below Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Morocco as they move to fifth best side in Africa.

Cameroon are still the continent''s best side, but fall one place in the overall global rankings from 14th to 15th place.

Nigeria fared better climbing 7 places to 25th, they are now within ten places of Cameroon.

Benin are the highest African climbers after moving up 18 places to 85th on the overall list and to 19th on the continent.
