Adu agent plans to court Celtic 7/24/2007
The agent of 18-year-old USA midfielder star Freddy Adu is hoping to speak to Celtic next week.
Richard Motzkin, Adu''s LA-based agent, told the Scottish Sun: "Celtic are coming out for the MLS All-Stars game and I''ll be there.

"My sole reason for going isn''t to speak to Celtic - but some might say it would be a good time to talk.

"Freddy has always said he wants to go Europe and any player would have a lot of respect for a club like Celtic."

Adu, who won his first senior cap at the age of 16, is currently playing at the Under-20 World Cup.

And the Real Salt Lake player has performed well in Canada, helping USA to reach the quarter final stage - where they will be fancied to beat Austria on Saturday.

Adu left his native Ghana at the age of eight and had earned a million-dollar deal from sportswear giant Nike by the time he turned 14.

Manchester United had the teenager on a two-week trial last year and Chelsea have been repeatedly linked with a move for Adu.

Celtic meet the MLS All-Stars in Colorado on 20 July and travel to play Chicago Fire two days later.
