Ghanaian Child Rape Suspect On The Run 6/27/2007
DALE CITY, Va. -- Police in Prince William County are hunting for a suspect in a child''s rape.

Dale City resident Kwame Boateng, 43, is wanted on charges of rape, taking indecent liberties with a minor and aggravated sexual battery in connection with a Friday attack on an 8-year-old girl in his neighborhood, Prince William police Sgt. Kim Chinn said.

Police said Boateng lured a girl into his apartment at 14349 Westminster Lane around 4 p.m. by telling her he had pictures of her.

Once inside the apartment, police said, the girl was sexually assaulted. Detectives later learned that the girl had been assaulted several times since September 2004, police said.

Police are investigating whether there are other victims.

Detectives said Boateng knows he is wanted by police. They are asking the public''s help in finding him.

Boateng is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 240 pounds. He may be driving a tan 1995 Nissan Altima, police said.
