Guinness donates toward Akomase Akwambo festival
Apam, Sept 26, GNA - The Management of Guinness Ghana Breweries Group, has donated a quantity of the company''s products, undisclosed amount of money and souvenirs to the planning committee of the annual Akomase Akwanbo festival at Apam in the Gomoa District. Mr Kingsley Edu Baffour, Sales Manager of the Group in charge of the Central and Western Regions, who presented the items said it was part of the social responsibility of the corporate entity to facilitate the celebration of the festival and also promote tourism in the area.

Mr Francis Ewool, Sales Executive Officer of the Group, asked the Sunset Youth Club of Apam that seeks to promote the cultural heritage to be proactive in pursuing their objectives, since the area is endowed with rich cultural heritage.

Mr George Koomson, Chairman of the Apam Town Council, called for peace, love and cooperation from the citizens to make the festival a success.

Mr Harry Acquah, Assemblyman for Kantam Electoral Area, at Apam commended the Youth Club for organising periodic clean up exercises and their communal spirit. 26 Sept 05
