Doubts over DR Congo coach 6/9/2007
The DR Congo Football Federation (Fecofa) has asked the national team''s technical director, Joseph Mukeba Mulamba, to look after the team for their next game against Namibia.
However Fecofa insist that Henri Depireux has not been sacked and they expect the Belgian to continue after the Namibia game.

They have also asked him to work alongside Mulamba for the Group Ten 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Windhoek on 17 June.

Fecofa President, Donatien Tshimanga, told BBC Sport that the decision was taken after Depireux made numerous changes to the squad that lost last week in a Nations Cup qualifier in Ethiopia.

"We came to the conclusion that the coach, Henri Depireux, discarded our home-based players for the match with Ethiopia, despite the fact they have played together since the 2006 World Cup qualifiers," he told BBC Sport.

"He lined up several players from the Belgian league; some of them don?t even play on a regular basis.

"We believe that the national technical director knows the home-based players better than the coach and that''s why we have asked him to lead them to Namibia.

"The coach should continue as usual after that game.?

Depireux is already in dispute with Fecofa over 11 months unpaid salary, indeed he is currently in Belgium checking whether six months of that money has now been paid to him as claimed by the DR Congo''s sports minister.
