King Faisal Seek Support From Government
The Founder and bank-roller of Kumasi King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grusah has indicated that unless he secures support from Government his team might have to fo-go it''s impending CAF/MTN Confederation Cup match against AS MARSA of Tunisia in Tunis on October 16th.

He said all this while the Team has been honouring the matches thanks to borrowings from benevolent individuals and companies who agree to offer credits to them.

Alhaji Grusah said the team has exhausted all available avenues of making money for the games especially the away games and therefore has decided to fall on the government as the needed last minute resort to leberate them from their increasing predicament. This is to save the team from failing to emback on the Tunisia trip to avoid being banned by CAF for failing to honour the game.

Speaking in an interview on the sports programme of FOX FM, a local Radio Station in Kumasi,he revealed that he has written to the Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Sampson Kwaku Boafo seeking the much needed assistance to keep the team in the African Campaign, this he explained is because King Faisal''s presence in Africa also helps to raise the image of the nation and the Region in particular. He also questioned the whereabouts of the sports alocation in the budget of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, KMA.

Meanwhile the request of Alhaji Grusah has generated a heated arguement over wheather or not the goverment should come to the aid of King Faisal.A phone-in into the programme showed that whilst some people were against the idea because the Club belongs to an individual, a larger majority of the callers passionately supported the request of Alhaji Grusah because by being in African as the only team from Ghana, King Faisal has succeeded in raising high the flag of Ghana after the traditional teams of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak had failed to go far in this year''s competitions.
