Kotoko suffers big blow 4/26/2007
Asante Kotoko''''s Goalkeepers'''' trainer, Joseph Kweku Carr has announced his resignation from the club with immediate effect.

Carr who is presently with the national Under 17 team, the Black Starlets at their camping base at Prampram as goalkeepers'''' trainer says he is being frustrated by Kotoko''''s management.

Carr told Joy Sports that he is owed seven months salary, but the club''''s Chairman Sylvester Asare-Owusu is asking him to demand his salary from the Ghana National Fire Service, because he is a staff of the state institution.

Joe Carr has been part of the Kotoko technical team for eight years and he says he believes it is time to call it quits.

He has previously kept the post for Kotoko.

Sylvester Asare-Owusu however says he is not ready to comment on the issue.

Kotoko risk missing the boat for the Champions League as with only a game to close the local season, they lie third behind uncrowned champions Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashantigold SC, who have equally promised themselves a Champions League berth.

The final round of league games are to be cleared on Sunday.
