Charles Taylor''s Manager Hits At Kotoko
"I Need My 10% Or Go To Court"
The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has one week to escape being dragged to the court of law for failing to keep to it''s contractual agreements with the Manager of Charles Taylor, Jonathan Badu Laryea.

According to Laryea, he signed a contract with the Sylvester Asare Owusu led IMC of Kotoko, that was supposed to give him 10% of the onward transfer of Charles Taylor to any Club from Kotoko. He said after the player was transferred to Tunisian side Etoil du Sahel the Kotoko management has effectively failed to pay him his share.

Speaking to AUTHENTIC KAPITAL SPORTS, Mr. Badu Laryea intimated that after the player was transferred for about $250,000, the management has been telling him stories about when his percentage was going to be paid to him.

“Initially I thought they were going to sort out some pertinent issues before settling me because all the amount involved had been paid in full to Kotoko and I expect them to pay me my money” he said.

"I am extremely disappointed in the Kotoko IMT, especially Kwabena Kesse , because when I first raised the issue he called me and told me a lot of stories but know he refuses to pick my calls and does not even show me the needed respect” he lamented.

"After sticking with Kotoko all this while, amidst the frustrations I went through in ensuring that Charles played for Kotoko, this is how they choose to pay me back, I am extremely shattered and disappointed" he added.

Laryea said he has been speaking to his lawyers who are ready to drag Kotoko to court if they fail to pay him his money by the close of the week.

“The contractual agreement has it that I get 10% of the transfer of Charles, but Kotoko approached me and explained that they had some financial problems and made some deductions and said they could pay me $11,000 instead of $25,000 being 10% of the $250,000 the player was bought for.

I agreed with them because I understood their position, but if they want to cheat me by taking all my money then the law courts will decide who is right”.

“Even if it has to take me to see the King Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll, the life patron of the Club I am prepared to do that" he assured.
