Elephants stroll to Mauritius win 3/22/2007
Ivory Coast warmed up for Sunday''s Nations Cup qualifier in Madagascar with a 3-0 thrashing of Mauritius on Wednesday.

A brace from Germany-based defender Steve Gohouri helped the Elephants to the comfortable win at the Anjalay Stadium in Belle Vue.

But it was Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou who opened the scoring just before the hour mark as he finally netted a goal for the Elephants.

The lively forward only made his debut for the Ivorians last month after more than a year of invitations from the 2006 Nations Cup runners-up.

Gohouri doubled the lead after 75 minutes before sealing the victory on the stroke of full time.

The Elephants, for whom Kolo Toure and Didier Drogba both appeared, are in the island nation preparing for the Group One tie in Antananarivo.
