Amoateng''s father pleads with govt 3/16/2007
The father of the jailed Former Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North Kofi Munufie a.k.a DDT has pleaded with government to sponsor him to the United States of America to enable him confer with his son.

According to him he wants to see his son but has not got the financial backing to enable him carry out the trip.

Speaking to Jacob Kwesi Sarkodie at his hometown Bomini during the just ended Nkoranza North bye election, Mr. Munufie defended his son saying he does not believe his son would involve himself in drug trafficking.

Mr. Munufie said he is hopeful that his son would soon be set free.

He recounted scholarships and the overwhelming assistance that Amoateng has rendered to the residents of the constituency. He noted that before his arrest he was sponsoring 85 students at various tertiary institutions.
