Boy dies in tram accident 3/2/2007
AMSTERDAM – A 13-year-old boy from Rotterdam died on Thursday after being hit by a tram in the city. He reportedly fell from the platform as the tram approached. The victim was waiting at a tram stop on the Breeplein with schoolmates when he fell in front of the tram.

How or why the boy fell is still unknown. Police do not think a crime has been committed. "It doesn''t look that way," said a spokesperson. They are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

The police were able to question a number of witnesses, though some were too upset to answer questions and were provided counselling.
