March 6, March 7 declared public holidays 2/28/2007
Accra, Feb. 28, GNA - The Ministry of the Interior on Wednesday reminded the public that Tuesday, March 6, which is Independence Day, is a statutory public holiday.

A statement signed in Accra by Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, Minister of the Interior, said President John Agyekum Kufuor, has also declared by Executive Instrument, Wednesday March 7 as an additional holiday. "Tuesday, 6th March and Wednesday 7th March 2007 are therefore public holidays and should be observed as such throughout the country," the statement said.
