Frimpong impresses on Swiss debut 2/26/2007
Ghana striker Joetex Frimpong scored twice on his debut for Swiss side Young Boys in their impressive 3-1 win over Thun on Sunday.

The 24-year-old, who joined the club from Tunisia''s CS Sfaxien two weeks ago, netted with two cool finishes in the league match.

Marcos Dos Santos headed Young Boys into a first-half lead before Frimpong doubled the score in the 36th minute from close range.

The Ghanaian extended the home side''s lead with a powerful header from Santos'' inviting cross after the interval.

Ferreira got the consolation for Thun with ten minutes remaining.

Frimpong is the highest goal scorer in the history of the African Champions League with 14 goals.

He is also a twice winner of the competition with Nigerian side Enyimba in 2003 and 2004.
