Hell''s Angels apologise
20 February 2007

AMSTERDAM — Members of the Amsterdam Hell''s Angels chapter said they regret the attack on the popular television talk-show anchored by Frits Barend and Henk van Dorp seven years ago.

The attack at the RTL studio was rather aggressive, but the anchor duo decided to press no charges.

The statement that provoked the attack was Barend & Van Dorp saying that the motorcycle club was a “criminal organisation”. Marching in on the show was an impulsive act, the Angels told the NOS.

On Tuesday, the court case against the Amsterdam Hell''s Angels begins. The prosecutor is demanding that the organisation be banned and disbanded.
