AMSTERDAM — The murderer of filmmaker Theo van Gogh, Mohammed B. (Bouyeri) must testify in the Hofstad Group trial on 9 May. He will be the first of a long list of witnesses that have been summoned. The Hofstad Group trial will now be heard in a court of higher jurisdiction.

The decision to call Mohammed B. was announced during a short meeting of the judges in Amsterdam-Osdorp. Extra security measures have been taken to protect the courtroom.
