I want to stay in England - Nonda 2/16/2007
DR Congo striker Shabani Nonda wants to make his loan move from Italian Serie A side Roma to English Premiership club Blackburn Rovers permanent.
Nonda said: "I have to show the club that they should try to sign me on a permanent basis.

"There are still 12 or 13 matches remaining this season for me to do as well as I can, and prove myself.

"I am happy with Blackburn and I love the English league. I will do everything I can to stay here."

The 29-year-old scored a vital goal after coming on as a substitute in his side''s 3-2 Uefa Cup tie defeat away at Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.

"My goal against Leverkusen has totally changed the balance of the tie. That is without a doubt the most important goal that I scored for this team."

Nonda has scored six goals in all competitions for Rovers this season.
