Oruma injury blow for Nigeria 2/16/2007
Nigeria midfielder Wilson Oruma faces at least two months on the sidelines after undergoing an operation to repair damaged knee cartilage.

He will miss the Super Eagles'' Group Three Nations Cup qualifier against Uganda next month.

The 30-year-old, who plays for the French side Marseille, was forced into surgery on the right knee after it failed to respond to rest and recuperation.

Oruma suffered the injury during their league clash against Nancy on 7 December last year.

But he has played two matches through the pain before undergoing the surgery on Wednesday.

Marseille do not expect him to return until at least early April.
