| Maassilo Disco Shooting Suspect Arrested |

AMSTERDAM — A 26-year old man from Rotterdam was arrested in Cabo Verde. He is suspected in having taken part in the shooting at the de Maassilo disco in December last year. The arrest took place last Friday, but the information from the police came only on Tuesday, ANP reports. It is possible that the detainee is the actual shooter.
The shooting happened early in the evening on December 30 at the disco located at the Maas harbour after several visitors got into a fight.
A 27-year-old was shot dead and a 25-year-old disco worker was severely injured. The detained man, a national of Cabo Verde, will be taken to a local court.
