Akunnor praises Stars’ world cup berth 9/20/2005
Ex-Black Stars captain Skipper C.K Akunnor says nothing will please him more than to see team at Ghana at the world cup in Germany 2006.

The 31-year-old, Akunnor has left the German Bundesliga for Danish side AC Horsens, as he seeks to rejuvenate his European club career.

Inspite of his personal struggles, Akonnor is wishing the current Stars all the best as they bid to earn their maiden berth at the World Cup finals.

"There is no player who will tell you that he does not want to play at the World Cup finals," Akunnor admitted to BBC Sport.

"But I think the young guys who will make it possible for Ghana to reach Germany must be given the chance to experience the tournament.

Akonnor has also praised the current Ghana Football Association board for picking the right coaching personnel to manage the ongoing World Cup campaign.
