Sonko sidelined following knee op 1/25/2007
Reading defender Ibrahima Sonko is set for a spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery to repair damaged cartilage in his knee.
The Senegal centre-back fell awkwardly during the Royals'' 3-1 victory over Sheffield United on Saturday.

A club statement said: "His progress will be monitored, but it is too early to ascertain how long he will be out."

Striker Dave Kitson is a doubt for Saturday''s FA Cup tie with Birmingham after suffering a minor thigh scan.
