Laryea Kingston closes in on Hearts deal 1/23/2007
Scottish Premiership side, Hearts, are closing in on the signing Laryea Kingston from the Russian Premier League.

26-year-old Ghana midfielder Kingston plays for Lokomotiv Moscow.

Head coach Valdas Ivanauskas travelled to Moscow after the Jambos beat Falkirk in the Bank of Scotland Premier League on Saturday.

Ivanauskas told the Edinburgh Evening News: "We have [also] moved forward with Kingston and the prospects of signing him look much better.

"You don''t know what each day will bring but there is also progress there.

"Lokomotiv was my last club in Russia and I have very good contacts there, I have a lot of information about the football in Russia."
