Premiership footballer Lomana Lualua has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The 26-year-old Portsmouth striker was detained early in the morning at the luxury Port Solent residential development, near the city.

A Portsmouth Football Club spokesman said they are looking into the matter and will not be making a statement.

Police were called to an address in Port Solent at about 0150 GMT where the DR Congo international was detained.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: "A 26-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested following an incident in the early hours of this morning.
