Charles Amoah Attempts A Comeback 1/18/2007
Thursday, 18 January 2007
Charles Amoah is striking back to Austria again. The 31-year old football professional from Ghana has been training with the club from Tuesday and is also expected to take part in the forthcoming training camp of Wacker Tirol in Mainz, where they will be facing FSV Mainz on Saturday, Amoah will presumably participate.

The striker is a free agent at the moment and managed to gain shape after a long injury break, by training on his own. In 2001 Amoah was transferred for 3.93 millions Euros from Swiss club St. Gallen to Sturm Graz, but failed to impress. On 1 September 2003 Sturm Graz concluded a loan contract with Salzburg (until 31 May 2004) from which Amoah was dismissed on 18 February 2004 without any notice.

Amoah sued Sturm Graz because of not paying him salaries, and they finally came to an agreement out of court. Austrian Press Agency
