| Ghana – Cote D’Ivoire border reopens |

Authorities at the Ghana-Cote D’Ivoire border have opened the frontier to traffic following the return of calm.
Human and vehicular movements across the border have been allowed on Saturday after it was closed on Friday.
The closure of the rather busy frontier followed armed disturbances by unidentified gunmen on the Ivorian side which resulted in three deaths.
The gunmen attacked the border post at the Ivorian town of Noe, disarmed the border patrol team and shot at the border guards.
Ghanaian security authorities said they were beefing up their presence to prevent any breach of the peace on their side of the border.
Meanwhile the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) says some relief items had been sent to displaced persons at the border.
National Coordinator George Isaac Amoo told Joy News though the true nationality of the displaced could not be readily ascertained, the Western Regional branch of NADMO had sent in the needed assistance.
