Wigan deny Ogbuke deal 1/12/2007
English Premiership side Wigan have dismissed the claim they are poised to sign striker Chinedu Ogbuke for US$6million from Norwegian side Lyn Oslo.

The 20-year-old, known as Edu in Norway, saw a move to Lokomotiv Moscow fall through last month and he is now in line for a trial with the English side.

It was suggested Wigan had already agreed the fee with Lyn, and that personal terms would be discussed during the two-week trial.

However, boss Paul Jewell is merely looking at the Nigerian for a couple of days this week, with no permanent deal on the table.
