Suzzy William’s Death And Matters Arising
A lot of people have expressed various comments about the death of Suzzy Williams through a motor accident. I do share the sentiments expressed by all the people concerned and I must say that the loss of a human being through a motor accident is very painful. My condolences go to the bereaved family. However, I have some few concerns.

First of all, since the news broke out people have described her with different accolades and showered a lot of praise on her for her contribution to the film industry but I have not heard from a single person condemning her behaviour for a girl of 23 to be carried away by stardom and engage in drinking spree in the night. According the various reports, bottles of beer were even found in the car and the boyfriend confirmed that they went on a drinking spree. People are happy with this showing praise and accolades on her lady. The latest news is that a substance suspected to be Indian hemp was found on her when she was admitted into Lister Hospital. Secondly, it is very unethical and condemnable for some newspapers to attribute her death to the insensitivity of the President whilst this accident could have been avoided. A lot of motorists ply the road everyday and reach their destinations safely, why then blame the President. What is his role in this? Responsible journalism must be supported and the opposite condemned.

According to reports on the interview Suzzie’s mother granted to the media, she had warned the daughter to stay away from the guy but she did not budge and this has been the result.

Suzzie’s death is quite painful but I think it is a lesson to all young people who are carried away by stardom and indulge in all kinds of behaviour and lifestyles, which eventually ruin their lives. The advice to the youth is that they should remember their God and Creator in their youthful age before the evil days appear. The good Book advises all of us particularly the youth in Ephesians 5:15-18 that:

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil, Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of God is, and do not be drunk with wine, in which there is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. Life is a precious gift from God that we need to cherish and protect. Thank you
