Organ donations drop in 2006 1/9/2007

The number of organ donors fell by 7% in 2006 compared to a year earlier, according to provisional figures from the transplant foundation. Nevertheless, the waiting list remained more or less stable at 1,440. Around 200 people every year die while waiting for a transplant.
