| GES Urged To Review Computer System |

The chiefs and people of Tamale have reiterated the call on the Ministry of Education, Science Sports to take another look at the computer placement system.
Alhaji Abudulai Ziblim, Regent of Gukpegu expressed concern that a lot of children in the metropolis have dropped out of school as a result of the system.
The regent made these remarks last week when Nana Fosuaba Banahene the GETFUND administrator accompanied by the regional minister paid a courtesy call at his palace after the launch of a 150 million cedis Dakpema scholarship fund for the Tamale Girls Secondary School.
Alhaji Ziblim pleaded with the GETFUND administrator to mobilize more resources from his administration and other sectors of the economy to bring more development to the North.
He noted that quality education is the solution to the woes of the three northern regions and should be tackled with the seriousness that it deserved.
Alhaji Ziblim commended Mr. Banahene for his efforts to put schools in the region into proper shape to help develop education in the area. The regent pledged their support towards any efforts to ensure quality education in the area and appealed to the government to stop using the Dagbon crisis as an excuse to deny the people of the needed development they desire.
He assured the government of their promise to ensure lasting peace in the Dagbon State.
