Cape Coast Dwarfs reject Butler
Cape Coast (CR), Jan 15, GNA - The Interim Management Committee (IMC) and supporters of Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs on Saturday passed a vote of no confidence in Nana Sam Brew Butler, Managing Director of the Club citing him for mal-administration.

The IMC headed by Mr Halifax Hayford, appointed Osa Barima Kwesi Atta II, Omanhene of the Qguaa Traditional Area as the Life Patron of the Club.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting organized by the IMC at Cape Coast to review the past performance of the club in the 2005 league season.

The meeting agreed by con-census that Nana Butler''s era was a ''one man show'' coupled with bad administrative practices that led to the abysmal performance of the club.

According to the supporters and the IMC, Nana Butler''s continued stay with the Club would do more harm than good and that the appointment of the Omanhene would ensure proper administration of the Club. The IMC placed an embargo on the sale of Dwarf''s players and appealed to clubs interested in poaching some of their players to do the right thing by negotiating with the IMC and not Nana Butler. Mr Kwesi Brown, former goalkeeper of the Club said it was the late Kweku Ackon who established Dwarfs in 1939 and not by Nana Butler''s late father as he (Nana Butler) claimed.

He said Nana Butler''s late father rather joined the club later. Nana Kwesi Atta who accepted the post of Patron of the Club gave the IMC one week to summon Nana Butler to a meeting to resolve matters concerning the club.

In a telephone interview with the GNA Sports, Nana Butler said the Club owed him about one billion cedis and that he welcomed suggestions from people to join the administration of the club. Among allegations against Nana Butler are the GTV title claims and Coca Cola sponsorship package amounting to about 100 million cedis alleged to be locked up by Nana Butler in Accra. Nana Butler said the allegations had no basis and were only meant to tarnish his image.
