Ghanaians cautioned on doom prophesy 1/4/2006
Ghanaians have been advised not to dismiss a prophecy by a Nigerian prophet who says the country should expect famine this year.

According to Prophet T. O. Olabayo of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh, based in Lagos, there will be internal crisis in a number of countries in Africa including Ghana, Niger and Chad.

He told his congregation in a New Year message that the three countries will be hit by internal crisis as a result of famine.

In an interview with JOY FM, Bishop James Saah of the Action Faith Ministries said although the prophecy cannot be readily validated it is only prudent that the necessary steps are taken to prevent any such situation.

“How do I know? I would not know. Time will tell. In this sense I would not go out there with a gun to shoot the man of God because of what he said. I have been through that. The people are giving credibility to it because of other confirmations in the past. I don''t have that advantage of knowing but I''d just go along and pray and sort it out as it is in the word of God. Prophecy I apply in my life as a child of God. Infact the hand break, you have to have a hand break in your car, you may not know when you will need it, even if the car is new. It’s better to take the pre caution of paying heed to it, dealing with God
on the bases of the revelation of his word whether it comes to that or not by 31st December 2006 we will be in Accra.

Bishop Saah also pointed out that prophesies should be evaluated within context.

I''m going to make references. We have other men of God in Nigeria. I''m going to do calls. I''m going to find out exactly the total contents of what he said. I don’t want to take anything out of context but I have to get the totality.

The Nigerian prophet also predicted political upheavals in Nigeria and disasters in other countries across the world including China, Honk Kong, Thailand and India.
