GeeFunkin Entertainment/Space FM to Sue Ofori Amponsah?
Hiplife star, Ofori Amponsah, ‘Mr All For Real’, may soon be dragged to court for breach of contract and deceiving the people of Sunyani, the Brong Ahafo Regional capital.

The Hiplife star is alleged to have collected part of the agreed contract sum. Ofori Amponsah was billed to perform alongside Kofi Nti and Barosky at the Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani on the 23rd of December, 2005.

After several weeks of intensive publicity particularly on radio, the people of Sunyani went home disappointed when their idol failed to show up in what was to be his maiden performance in the Brong Ahafo Region.

But for the timely intervention of security personnel, the other artistes who turned up for the show would have been lynched.

Disappointed patrons who had saved their last pesewa just to buy tickets to have a glimpse of Mr All for Real, heckled any body they thought had links with the organisers who disappeared after they were threatened.

“Mr Ransford Antwi, General Manager of Sunyani based Space FM, which publicized the event, said “Ofori has really disappointed us and we can not think of how we can repair the damage to our reputation”.

“We have never been betrayed by any musician and we feel very embarrassed after Ofori had confirmed that he was coming down to “chill with the people of Sunyani”, Mr Antwi added.

Meanwhile the screens of the car belonging to one of the organisers were smashed during the confusion.

The driver of the car however, escaped unhurt.

The management of the plush Eusbett Hotel also came under pressure when some disgruntled patrons threatened to vandalize the hotel. “We have been cheated!, they yelled.

The failure of Mr All for Real to show up for the event surprisingly affected subsequent Christmas programmes organised in Sunyani.

The well advertised couples’ dinner organized by Space FM.

It has now been established that Ofori Amponsah and his management deliberately decided to dupe the people of Sunyani as he refused to again show up for another programme on the 26th of December, 2005 at the Center for National Culture.

“We made part payment to Ofori Amponsah as he demanded and we are going to take legal action against him”, an executive of Gambo Promotions told Space FM in an interview.
